Dear Fourth Grade Parents,
Welcome back! We are excited to start this academic year.
Below you will find some information about our first term related to English, math, science and group direction.
During this term, your son will focus on making decisions about his learning and his social surroundings. In group direction, we will give your son tools and learning strategies to help him make healthy and positive decisions in and out of school. We hope to prepare your son for fifth grade and beyond by building autonomy.
In science, we will focus on applied physic specifically to amusement park rides, and later in the term, your son will apply his knowledge of physics at Salitre Mágico.
In English, we will be reading the Diary of a Wimpy Kid and praticing past tense and comparative adjectives as your son writes narratives throughout the term.
In math, your son will practice multiplying, dividing, adding, subtracting decimals, while he works on multiple step problems, as well as, creating word problems.
The term project will be a written diary about experiences, observations and interactions at school loosely modeled from the Diary of a Wimpy Kid.
Laura, Luisa, and Angie
