Past Tense Practice
Week 2: Follow instructions carefully. Review your chart before you start.
- Watch the following video and notice when to use -er and when to use -est. Make sure you understand the difference.
- Answer in your notebook in a complete sentence. What is the difference between "brighter" and "brightest" in the sentence, "My love is brighter than the brightest star that shines every night above?"
- In the video above, find one more irregular adjective that is not on your chart. Add it to your chart. (hint: minute 3:26)
- Play the games below.
- Check your understanding. In your notebook, write down any questions you want to ask your teacher later.
- On the extra paper the teacher gives you, do the following activity. Compare and contrast the following amusement park rides using the words FAST, HIGH, SCARY, GOOD. (example: LOUD: The carousel is loud, but the Super Shot is louder than the carousel. The roller coaster is the loudest ride.)
Hand in your work, when you are done. Work on Raz-Kids for the remaining time.
